Welcome to the Smart-UP Crisis Quick Check Assessment

This assessment serves to identify potential early warning signals for approaching company crises or to obtain indications of the extent of a crisis that may already be rampant and unrecognised. This assessment was developed by tvw GmbH as part of the Smart-Up project. Smart-Up is a project funded by the European Commission within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, in which experts from Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark work together to provide start-ups and owners/managers of established small and medium-sized enterprises with the knowledge and skills to recognise early warning signals of corporate crises, to interpret them correctly and to take corrective action in good time. 

Before we can get started, however, we first need to clarify a few legal issues:

Every company is different - and so is every company crisis. There are no blueprints, no general answers and no patent solutions. Therefore, this assessment can only give hints and indications of signs of corporate crises and is of course not an exact assessment and evaluation of the crisis stage.

In other words: Even if your answers in this assessment should not provide any indication of a corporate crisis, this is of course no guarantee.

In conducting this assessment you expressly accept this and also accept that we cannot and therefore will not accept any liability for the results of the assessment, your company's success or the probability of survival of your company. 

In particular, the analysis of possible insolvency law topics and possible reasons for filing for insolvency is not the subject of this assessment. As this assessment is available in different legal jurisdictions, this is not possible.

Also, neither this assessment nor the feedback provided based on the answers can serve others as a basis for business decisions (e.g., lending). It is not permitted to pass on the results to third parties for decision-making purposes and any liability towards third parties is explicitly excluded.
